Not every band can call up a grammy winner and ask him to produce thier Album.  But thats just what HogMaw did.  Well a facebook message anyway.  It went something like this.

 

"Hi do you remember us?  We opened for your band, would you consider producing our next album?  It's a project of All Traditional Music but we're not the most traditional band. We think you are the guy who can help us figure it out. What do you think ?  

 

To our astonishment Dom wrote back.   He was really into it.  He remembered our set opening for his Band the Carolina Chocolate Drops.  and the timing was perfect as Dom was looking for a project just like this to really used the knowled about recording and making a successful record that he learned with the Drops but taking that to the natural next level as a producer. 

 

 The Band and Dom as well as Audio engeneer and owner of little spiders studio in Pheonixdville PA Ernie Tokay and Family lived and eat at the same table together for 4 days and came out on the other side as lifelong frinds as wel as  the makings of a fantastic album of traditional music.  The Project which eventually became known as "Mason Jar" will be released on Vinyl in November of this year.  Digital Distibution as well as a CD release will happen in 2014. Labels currently be sought.
